I saw a quote this morning on my Momentum Dashboard that said, "You are confined only by the walls you build yourself." (Andrew Murphy) It got me thinking...
If you don't like your situation. Change it. Don't know how? Start by doing things differently.
Wake up and do things differently. Change your routine. Start with something simple like taking your vitamins before you brush your teeth instead of the opposite. Drive a different way to work. Do yoga at night instead of trying to cram it into your morning routine. Don't unload the dishwasher if you don't want to.
Change your thoughts. Your body hears everything your mind says so when a negative thought comes in, let it pass through you. Don't go down a rabbit hole of assumptions that become your reality. When your feet hit the floor in the morning, decide that today is different. Decide that you are going to have a great day. Decide to be in charge of your actions.
Be Present. I always laugh when people tell you to "just be present" or "let it go". Those 3 words are some of the most difficult things to achieve, but it's true... Being in the present cuts out all of noise your ego is constantly barking at you.
Give yourself permission. Give yourself permission to be happy. Give yourself permission to have the life that you want. Give yourself permission to put yourself first without guilt.
Change your attitude. Life is not happening to you, it's happening for you. Stop bitching and blaming. You decide how things affect you. No one else.
Find JOY in everything. Look for the good in everything. Find something to be grateful for in every situation and it will help change your attitude.
Just get started. Do one small thing today and try again tomorrow. Own your shit and be the badass that you were made to be. As a reminder, you are more than enough and right where you are supposed to be. If this doesn't resonate with you, don't beat yourself up. Let this be a seed that's planted - that's all. Now go find some joy!
